Establishment of the Bikaner Camel Farm
The camel breeding farm was created with the basic idea of camel rearing and to make it economically advantageous for the camel owners. This farm in Bikaner breeds the best camels in India. The Indian Council of Agriculture Research was established in 1984. This was also famous as the Government camel Breeding Farm.Different experiments and research has been conducted in this camel breeding ground in Bikaner. The results of the experiments are used in camel breeding. The local breeders called “Raikas” and “Rebars” are employed for breeding of camels.
